Is the HoMedics Therapist Select Pro percussion massager still available?

No. The Amazon page for the HoMedics Therapist Select Pro we originally reviewed now returns “Page Not Found”. HoMedics’ best-reviewed current option is its handheld percussion massager with heat, about $60 with a 4.2 average from over 6,700 ratings. Key takeaways

  • The HoMedics Therapist Select Pro from our original review is no longer on Amazon.
  • HoMedics’ long-standing handheld percussion massager, with two pivoting heads and heat, is its best-reviewed current option.
  • For deeper, more powerful percussion, a massage gun such as the Opove M3 Pro 2 is better value.
  • Keep any percussion massager off the head, face, throat and bones.

Heads2 pivoting, interchangeable attachments
SpeedUp to 3,100 pulses a minute, 4 settings
HeatOptional, through red heat nodes
WeightUnder 2.5 lb
Ratings4.2 from 6,700+

Why 8.2: a low price, heat, a long handle for reaching your back and a large review base lifted it, while less depth than a modern massage gun pulled it down.

This HoMedics massager has two pivoting heads that move with the body’s contours, four speeds up to 3,100 pulses a minute and optional heat. HoMedics says the heat works best with the attachments removed so the red heat nodes touch the skin. The long rubber handle helps you reach your own back.

Best forWarm, broad percussion on the back and shoulders.

Skip it ifYou want deep, focused pressure on big muscles.

Best massage gun alternative

Why 8.6: a published 12 mm stroke and 70 lb stall force, 4 to 8 hours of battery and a 4.7 average from over 20,000 buyers lifted it, while no heat pulled it down.

If you liked the cordless gun design of the Therapist Select Pro, the Opove M3 Pro 2 is a strong replacement. It has five speeds up to 2,500 rpm and a quiet, drop-resistant shell. Opove sells it for the same $129.99 on its own store. See our full massage gun guide for more options.

Why 7.6: five speeds, five heads and Amazon as the seller lifted it, while only 17 ratings and no published stroke or stall force pulled it down.

HoMedics’ newer massage gun has five intensity levels and five attachments. It’s too new to judge on owner feedback, and at the same price the Opove publishes more of its specs.

4. TOLOCO Massage Gun

8.2/ 10 our score

Why 8.2: a very low price, 10 heads and over 62,000 ratings lifted it, while no published stall force pulled it down.

The TOLOCO has a 12 mm stroke, up to 3,200 rpm and up to 6 hours of battery. It’s the cheapest way to try a massage gun.

What happened to the HoMedics Therapist Select Pro?

Our original review covered the HoMedics Therapist Select Pro, a rechargeable percussion massager with four attachments, three programs and three intensity levels. In October 2026 its Amazon page returned “Page Not Found”. A smaller HoMedics Therapist Select Compact was still listed, but only from a third-party seller with limited stock and 44 ratings, so we don’t recommend it over the options above.

How to use a percussion massager safely

  • Start on the lowest speed and keep the massager moving.
  • Spend about 1 to 2 minutes on each muscle group.
  • Avoid the head, face, throat, spine, joints and bones.
  • Don’t use heat on swollen or injured areas.

Check with a doctor first if…

You take blood thinners, have a bleeding disorder, osteoporosis, a pacemaker, a history of blood clots, or recent surgery or injury, or you’re pregnant.

How we reviewed these massagers

We haven’t physically tested these massagers. In October 2026 we checked the HoMedics model from our original review, then compared HoMedics’ current percussion massagers and leading alternatives on Amazon by specs, price, seller and the volume and average of owner ratings. See how we test.

Frequently asked questions

Is a HoMedics percussion massager as good as a massage gun?

It’s gentler and covers a wider area with two heads, plus it has heat. A massage gun like the Opove reaches deeper into large muscles.

Can I use the HoMedics percussion massager on my neck?

Use it gently on the back and sides of the neck and the shoulders only. Keep it off the front of the neck, the throat and the head.

Does the HoMedics percussion massager have heat?

Yes. Heat works best with the attachments removed, according to HoMedics.
