What is the best massage chair under $2,000?

For most people it’s the Real Relax Favor-06, a 3D SL-track chair for users 5’0″ to 6’1″ at around $1,190–1,250 (October 2026). Want 4D rollers? The Real Relax PS5200 is about $1,900–2,000. Short on space? The Osaki 3D Dreamer V2 reclines about 1 inch from the wall.

Key takeaways

  • All five chairs were listed as in stock on the brand’s own US store on October 26, 2026. At least nine other chairs we looked at were sold out or unavailable.
  • None of the five publishes a height range above 6’2″ (188 cm). If you’re taller, read the box after the reviews before you buy.
  • Wall space runs from about 1 inch (Dreamer V2) to 9 inches (WholeBody 8.0). Real Relax doesn’t publish a figure for either of its chairs.
  • Warranties are short at this price. Real Relax gives 1 year. Osaki and Titan give 1 year of parts and labor, then parts only in years 2 and 3. Human Touch gives a 3-year limited warranty.
  • Two chairs have conflicting weight limits in the brand’s own listings. We tell you the lower figure to plan around.

What under $2,000 buys you in a full-body massage chair

A few years ago, $2,000 got you a basic 2D chair. In October 2026, all five chairs here have 3D or 4D back rollers, and four use an SL-track, which curves from the neck down under the seat to the top of the thighs. All five massage the calves and feet. Four recline to zero gravity, which raises the legs and spreads the load across the backrest.

The savings come from elsewhere. Warranties are short, delivery is usually curbside unless you pay extra, and you often do some assembly yourself. Spec sheets are also patchier at this price. Two of our five picks have weight limits that disagree between the brand’s own listings, and one has no published height range at all. We point out every gap so you can ask before you pay.

Prices below are what each brand’s own US store showed on October 26, 2026, given as a range to cover discounts and delivery options. Our buttons go to Amazon, where the price can be higher or lower than the brand’s own store. If you’re comparing Amazon-only brands, our Oways massage chair review covers one of the better-known names.

Zero gravityOne-button
Weight limit300 or 400 lb (conflicting)
Wall clearanceNot published by the manufacturer

Why 8.4: the low price, a published height range and a 3D SL-track lifted it, while the 1-year warranty and conflicting weight limit pulled it down.

The Favor-06 is Real Relax’s long-running 3D chair. On Real Relax’s own store it was $1,249.99 on October 26, 2026 (regular price $1,699.99). New subscribers can take another 5% off, which brings it to about $1,190. That makes it the cheapest 3D SL-track chair in this group.

The track runs from your neck to your thighs, and the rollers move in and out as well as up and down. You also get:

  • 20 airbags covering the shoulders, arms, hips, legs and feet
  • Lower-back heat and foot rollers
  • One-button zero gravity
  • Six auto programs (Relax, Chinese, Thai, Sleep, Recovery and Strong)
  • Five intensity levels and a 7-inch touchscreen controller

Real Relax lists a fit of 5’0″ to 6’1″ (152–185 cm). Upright, the chair is 59.06 in long, 28.74 in wide and 41.73 in tall. Reclined, it stretches to 68.5 in. It weighs 147.6 lb (67 kg), the lightest of the SL-track chairs here, and it ships in one box with some basic assembly.

The weight limit is the weak point. Real Relax’s own comparison page lists 400 lb (181 kg), but the comparison chart on its Amazon listing says 300 lb (136 kg). Until Real Relax clears that up, plan around 300 lb. Wall clearance isn’t published either. The FAQ only says to allow extra room beyond the 174 cm reclined length.

In owner reviews on Real Relax’s site, the most repeated complaint is that the control screen isn’t backlit, so it’s hard to use in a dim room. Several owners also say the back heat is mild.

What we like

  • Lowest price here for a 3D SL-track chair.
  • Published height range of 5’0″ to 6’1″.
  • 147.6 lb, so two people can move it.
  • Free shipping in the US.

Watch out for

  • Only a 1-year warranty.
  • Weight limit listed as both 300 lb and 400 lb.
  • No published wall-clearance figure.
  • Owners say the control screen isn’t backlit.

Best forBuyers between 5’0″ and 6’1″ who want a full 3D SL-track chair for the least money.

Skip it ifyou weigh over 300 lb (136 kg), you’re taller than 6’1″, or you want more than a year of cover.

Weight limitNot on product page (330 lb on Real Relax’s Amazon chart)
Wall clearanceNot published by the manufacturer
Warranty1 yr

Why 8.2: 4D rollers and 30 airbags at this price lifted it, while the 6’0″ height ceiling, 1-year warranty and missing weight limit on the product page pulled it down.

The PS5200 was the only 4D chair we found in stock under $2,000 from the brands we checked. It was $1,999.99 on Real Relax’s store in October 2026, or about $1,900 with the 5% new-subscriber discount. 4D means the rollers change speed as well as depth. Real Relax says they extend 1.1 to 2.5 inches.

You also get:

  • 30 airbags with five pressure levels
  • 20 auto programs, including a Thai stretch
  • Two-level zero gravity
  • Lumbar heat and foot rollers
  • A wireless phone charger and an ionizer with aromatherapy

Fit is narrower than the Favor-06. Real Relax lists 5’0″ to 6’0″ (152–183 cm). The seat is wider, though: 19.88 in, with up to 24 in of shoulder room when the airbags are deflated.

Upright, the chair is 57.5 in long, 29.1 in wide and 44.5 in tall. Reclined, it’s 70.1 in long. It weighs 174.2 lb (79 kg).

The product page doesn’t list a weight limit. The comparison chart on Real Relax’s Amazon listing says 330 lb (150 kg). Wall clearance isn’t published; the FAQ says only that the chair needs about 178 cm of length when reclined.

Owner reviews on Real Relax’s site are mostly positive. The complaints we saw were about delivery taking longer than expected. One owner who upgraded from an older Real Relax model also missed being able to run the preset programs from the phone app.

What we like

  • 4D rollers for under $2,000.
  • 30 airbags and 20 auto programs.
  • 19.88-inch seat, the second widest here.
  • Built-in wireless charger.

Watch out for

  • Height range stops at 6’0″.
  • Weight limit missing from the product page.
  • Only a 1-year warranty.
  • No published wall-clearance figure.

Best forBuyers up to 6’0″ who want the most roller adjustment they can get at this price.

Skip it ifyou’re over 6’0″, or you need a weight limit confirmed by the maker before you buy.

Roller3D
TrackSL, length not published
Zero gravity2 stages
Weight limit260 lb
Wall clearanceAbout 1″
Warranty1 yr parts and labor, yrs 2–3 parts

Why 8.0: 72 air cells, about 1 inch of wall clearance and three years of parts cover lifted it, while the 260 lb limit, a 16-inch seat and a heavy 268.9 lb frame pulled it down.

The Dreamer V2 was $1,999 in black or brown on TitanChair.com, Osaki’s official US store, in October 2026. That includes curbside delivery. White-glove delivery adds $275, and the taupe color costs $2,799.

It’s a 3D SL-track chair with:

  • 72 air cells, the most of any chair here
  • Heat therapy
  • Two-stage zero gravity
  • An extendable footrest
  • 11 auto programs and 5 manual styles

Its strongest point for small rooms is the space-saving recline. Ashley, an Osaki retailer, says it fully reclines about an inch from the wall. Upright, it’s 32.8 in wide, 62 in long and 50.5 in tall. Reclined, it’s 72.5 in long and 36 in tall.

That width matters at the door, and the chair is heavy at 268.9 lb (122 kg). Pay for white glove if you have steps.

Osaki’s own product page doesn’t list a height range. OTA East Plano, an Osaki dealer, lists 4’6″ to 6’2″ (137–188 cm). Osaki’s own store lists a 260 lb (118 kg) maximum, as do Purely Relaxation and Select Fitness, while one Amazon listing says 270 lb, so we use 260. The seat is 16 in wide and shoulder width is 18.5 in, the tightest fit in this group.

The warranty is 1 year of parts and labor, plus parts only in years 2 and 3. Osaki sells 1- or 2-year extended parts-and-labor plans for $249.95 or $349.95. On TitanChair.com, the low-star reviews include one order not delivered after almost a month and one owner who found the chair loud and uncomfortable.

What we like

  • Needs only about 1 inch behind it.
  • 72 air cells for arms, legs and feet.
  • Parts covered for 3 years.
  • Fits shorter users, down to 4’6″ per the dealer.

Watch out for

  • 260 lb weight limit.
  • 16-inch seat, the narrowest here.
  • 268.9 lb, so moving it is hard.
  • Height range comes from a dealer, not Osaki’s own page.

Best forSmaller rooms where the chair has to sit close to a wall, and slimmer users from about 4’6″ to 6’2″.

Skip it ifyou weigh over 260 lb (118 kg), have broad hips or shoulders, or need to carry it upstairs yourself.

Best for broader frames

Roller3D
TrackSL, length not published
Zero gravity1 stage
Weight limit280–352 lb (conflicting)
Wall clearanceAbout 2″
Warranty1 yr parts and labor, yrs 2–3 parts

Why 7.6: the roomiest seat and highest listed capacity lifted it, while the unpublished height range, conflicting weight limits and single-stage zero gravity pulled it down.

The TI Reflex 3D comes from Titan, Osaki’s sister brand, and is sold on Osaki USA’s official store. In October 2026 it was $1,999 with curbside delivery, or $2,274 with white glove.

It’s a 3D SL-track chair with:

  • 44 air cells
  • Lumbar and foot heat
  • Calf kneading and dual foot rollers
  • A toe-and-ankle stretch and an automatic extending footrest
  • 8 auto programs and 5 manual ones
  • Wireless charging

It’s our pick for broader frames because of the seat. Titan’s Canadian distributor lists a 20-inch seat and 23-inch shoulder width, the roomiest in this group, and a user maximum of 352 lb (160 kg).

But Titan’s two Amazon listings say 300 lb and 280 lb, and those figures can’t all be right. If you weigh over 280 lb (127 kg), get the limit confirmed in writing before you order.

The height range is not published by the manufacturer. Titan’s Amazon listing says the footrest extends 5.5 inches, and TitanChair.com’s FAQ says the chair needs about 2 inches from the wall.

Upright, it’s 30.5 in wide, 62 in long and 46.5 in tall. Reclined, it’s 66 in long. It weighs 222.6 lb (101 kg) and needs a 30.5-inch doorway. Zero gravity is one stage only.

Osaki USA’s page has only five owner reviews, all 5-star, which is too few to show patterns.

What we like

  • 20-inch seat and 23-inch shoulder width.
  • Highest listed capacity here (352 lb, Titan Canada).
  • About 2 inches of wall clearance.
  • Calf kneading plus foot rollers.

Watch out for

  • No published height range.
  • Weight limit listed as 280, 300 and 352 lb.
  • One-stage zero gravity only.
  • Very few owner reviews so far.

Best forWider-shouldered users who found other chairs too snug, once the weight limit is confirmed.

Skip it ifyou need a published height range before buying, or you weigh over 280 lb and can’t get the limit confirmed.

Roller3D FlexGlide (orbital)
TrackNo SL-track
Zero gravityNo (standard recline)
Weight limit285 lb
Wall clearance9″ rear
Warranty3 yr limited

Why 7.4: the 3-year warranty, light 114 lb frame and furniture look lifted it, while the lack of an SL-track or zero gravity and its 9 inches of rear clearance pulled it down.

The WholeBody 8.0 is a different kind of chair from the other four. It looks like a swivel recliner and weighs 114 lb (52 kg). It was $1,999 on Human Touch’s site in October 2026 (regular price $2,999), or about $2,350 with $349 white-glove delivery.

Instead of an SL-track, it uses Human Touch’s FlexGlide 3D orbital back massage. You also get:

  • A retractable ottoman with a foot and calf massager
  • Warm air heat
  • Seven auto programs and BodyMap PRO targeting
  • A base that swivels 55 degrees

Know what you’re giving up. Human Touch lists standard recline, not zero gravity. Without an SL-track, the rollers don’t travel under your glutes and hamstrings like the four chairs above.

Human Touch rates its intensity as moderate. Two of the seven owner reviews on its page say it felt stronger than that without the back cushion, and another says the remote needs press-and-hold buttons.

Fit is 5’0″ to 6’2″ (152–188 cm) and 285 lb (129 kg). Upright, it’s 44 in long, 28 in wide and 40 in tall; reclined, it’s 66 in long. It needs 9 inches behind it, the most here.

The warranty is a 3-year limited warranty. For $199 you can upgrade to 3 years of in-home service, parts and structural cover.

If you like the look but want to spend less, the WholeBody 5.1 was $1,399 (regular price $1,799) in October 2026. It has three programs, the same 285 lb limit, the same 5’0″ to 6’2″ range and the same 9-inch clearance.

What we like

  • Longest standard warranty here (3 years).
  • 114 lb, about half the weight of most chairs here.
  • Looks like living-room furniture.
  • Swivel base and a stowable calf massager.

Watch out for

  • No zero gravity.
  • No SL-track, so less coverage below the waist.
  • Needs 9 inches behind it.
  • Some owners found it stronger than “moderate”.

Best forLiving rooms where looks matter, and buyers who value warranty length over massage coverage.

Skip it ifyou want zero gravity or roller work on the glutes and hamstrings, or the chair has to sit near a wall.

Check before you buy: over 6’2″?

None of our five picks publishes a height range above 6’2″ (188 cm), and we found no in-stock chair under $2,000 from the brands we checked that does. The nearest options cost more. Massage Chair Planet lists the Osaki OS-4000T for users 5’2″ to 6’4″ (157–193 cm) at around $2,499–2,799 (October 2026). It’s a 2D chair with a 30-inch S-track that needs 12 inches from the wall, so you trade depth and coverage for fit. Topture lists the Kahuna SM-7300S for users up to 6’5″ (196 cm) and 320 lb (145 kg) at around $4,000. Our Kahuna massage chair review covers the brand’s sizing in more detail.

Chairs we checked but left out

Several chairs from the brands we looked at were sold out or over budget on October 26, 2026. We only list chairs you can order now.

  • Osaki: its own stores showed the OS-3D Belmont, OS-Pro 3D Tecno, OS-Champ and OS-Monarch as sold out.
  • Real Relax: the Favor-09 was sold out.
  • Kahuna: the HM-5000 was sold out on Kahuna’s own site at $1,999.99.
  • RelaxOnChair: the MK-II Plus was sold out at $1,999 at Recovery for Athletes. Our RelaxOnChair MK-Classic review covers the brand’s simpler model.
  • Human Touch: Sharper Image lists the iJOY Total Massage as sold out and no longer available. If you already own one, see our iJOY Total Massage review.
  • Over budget: Recovery for Athletes lists the Osaki OS-3D Pro Cyber at around $2,500 (October 2026), with a 260 lb limit. Our Osaki OS-3D Pro Cyber review has the full details.
  • Not verified: we also looked at LifeVibe but couldn’t confirm a US price or published height and weight limits.

How to choose a massage chair under $2,000

Three spec terms decide most of what you feel:

  • Roller type: 2D rollers move up and down. 3D rollers also push in and out, so you can set the depth. 4D adds changes in speed.
  • Track shape: an S-track follows the spine down to the lower back. An L-track continues under the seat. An SL-track combines both, reaching from the neck to the top of the thighs.
  • Zero gravity: the chair tips back so your legs sit above your heart and your weight spreads across the backrest.

At this price, the spec sheet is only as good as what the maker publishes. Use this checklist before you order.

  1. Check your height against the published rangeIf the range isn’t published, as with the Titan TI Reflex 3D, call the seller and ask where the rollers start relative to your shoulders.
  2. Use the lowest weight limit you can findIf listings disagree, as with the Favor-06 (300 lb vs 400 lb), plan around the lower number.
  3. Measure the room in reclineAdd the reclined length to the wall clearance. The Dreamer V2 needs 72.5 in plus about 1 in. The WholeBody 8.0 needs 66 in plus 9 in.
  4. Measure every doorway on the routeChair widths here run from 28 in (WholeBody 8.0) to 32.8 in (Dreamer V2). Titan lists a 30.5-inch minimum door for the TI Reflex 3D.
  5. Read who pays for labor after year oneOsaki and Titan cover parts in years 2 and 3, but not labor. Real Relax lists 1 year. Human Touch offers a $199 upgrade to 3 years of in-home service.
  6. Pick your delivery levelCurbside delivery is free from Osaki USA and Human Touch, and Real Relax ships free in the US. White glove costs $275 (Osaki USA) or $349 (Human Touch).

Tip

Most of these chairs weigh 147–269 lb. If the chair has to go up stairs, the white-glove fee is usually cheaper than an injury or a damaged wall.

Talk to your doctor first if…

Mayo Clinic advises talking with your healthcare team before massage if any of these apply:

  • You recently had a heart attack.
  • You have a bleeding disorder or take blood-thinning medicine.
  • You recently had a blood clot in your leg.
  • You have burns, broken bones or severe osteoporosis.
  • You are pregnant.

Real Relax says it does not recommend the Favor-06 or PS5200 for people aged 80 or older, or for people with herniated discs or recent spinal surgery. A massage chair can ease muscle tension and discomfort, but it isn’t a treatment for any condition.

How we chose these chairs

We have not physically tested these chairs. For this guide, we compared:

  • Manufacturer product pages, spec tables and FAQs
  • Warranty terms
  • Authorized-retailer listings, where the maker left gaps
  • Patterns in owner reviews on the brands’ own product pages

A chair qualified only if it was shown in stock on its brand’s own US store on October 26, 2026, with a base price at or under $1,999.99.

Scores weight five things:

  • Published fit range and weight limit: 30%
  • Massage coverage and mechanism: 25%
  • Room fit and wall clearance: 15%
  • Warranty: 15%
  • Price: 15%

Where a maker’s own listings conflict, we score the lower figure and say so. Read our full method.

Frequently asked questions

Is a massage chair under $2,000 good enough for a full-body massage?

Yes, if “full body” means rollers from neck to thigh plus airbags for the arms, calves and feet. Four of our five picks use an SL-track that runs under the seat, and all five massage the calves and feet. What you give up compared with pricier chairs is mostly warranty length and fit range. Real Relax covers its chairs for 1 year, and none of our picks lists a height range above 6’2″.

What is the difference between 3D and 4D massage rollers?

3D rollers move up and down and also push in and out, so you can set how deep they press. 4D adds changes in speed. The Real Relax PS5200 is the only 4D chair here. Real Relax says its rollers extend 1.1 to 2.5 inches.

How much space do I need behind a massage chair?

In this group it ranges from about 1 inch (Osaki 3D Dreamer V2) and about 2 inches (Titan TI Reflex 3D) to 9 inches (Human Touch WholeBody 8.0). Real Relax does not publish a wall-clearance figure for the Favor-06 or PS5200. For those two, measure the reclined length (68.5 in and 70.1 in) and leave extra room.

Which massage chair under $2,000 is best for someone over 6’2″?

We could not find an in-stock chair under $2,000 from the brands we checked that publishes a height range above 6’2″. The nearest options cost more. They are the Osaki OS-4000T (5’2″ to 6’4″, around $2,499–2,799 in October 2026) and the Kahuna SM-7300S (up to 6’5″, around $4,000).

Can a massage chair help with back pain?

It may ease muscle tension and discomfort. Mayo Clinic says research suggests massage may reduce stress and ease pain, muscle stiffness and tension, but benefits vary and more research is needed. A massage chair is not a treatment for a spine condition. If you have one, ask your doctor before you buy.

Who should check with a doctor before using a massage chair?

Mayo Clinic advises talking with your healthcare team first if any of these apply: you recently had a heart attack, you have a bleeding disorder or take blood-thinning medicine, you recently had a blood clot in your leg, or you have burns, broken bones or severe osteoporosis. Pregnancy also matters. Real Relax adds that it does not recommend the Favor-06 or PS5200 for people aged 80 or older, or for people with herniated discs or recent spinal surgery.
